Ah, the Panama Papers. It's the kind of information leak that has corrupt politicians shaking in their boots. Especially if someone's name appears on the list who has previously taken a stand against tax avoidance. One critic is quoted as saying: "It is the height of cynicism to open offshore companies at a time when hundreds of our soldiers are dying." I'm going to slot this whole thing on my list of bad ideas, along with one of the worst biz ideas I've come across lately. You can hear what I mean on this podcast: http://bizdevshots.com/podcast-assassinating-a-bad-business-idea/ Here's to making good long term decisions, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

How do you most often finish that sentence? Well, I heard a great finish to that line the other day: "If I had a dollar for every girl that found me unattractive, they would eventually find me attractive." Now, while that may or may not SPECIFICALLY apply to you and I - I still find it particularly hilarious. It's a neat little twist on the old saying. And for your biz growth pleasure, here's a twist on the stereotypical way to get customers: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to twisting when the competition turns - all the way to the bank, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

In the early to mid 1900's they seemed to love their practical jokes. One of the best was the old exploding cigar trick. They'd pack a small amount of explosive charge near the lighting end that would blow up when heated. While very popular up to the 1950's, sales began to decline due to unintended injuries. Nowadays, we have e-cigs that have taken their place. It seems almost every day in the news you hear more reports about someone getting hurt when the e-cig they were using blew up. I'm sure these things would be a lot more funny if people weren't getting hurt. It's similar to online advertising: you want the intended benefit, but you don't want it to blow up in your face. Make the wrong move, use the wrong traffic source, forget to check a couple boxes and your biz could be in a world of hurt. Don't big a victim of the old exploding cigar trick: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to avoiding your advertising effor...

You can buy just about anything online. I just saw a 129 foot fireboat for sale in Brooklyn. This 62 year old beauty is set to be auctioned off, with bidding starting at $510. Just imagine, you could really be a big help. Sailing around putting out other people's fires. Only trick is that it's being sold "as is, where is" with the seller stating that you can't take it for a test drive, and it's working condition is unknown. And then you've got to pay moorage fees to store it. But rather than investing in a sinking ship, why not invest back into your business? Many of the little fires and problems that biz owners face could be solved with a little more money or a few more paying clients. Solution: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to putting out fires by growing your biz rather than investing in another sinking ship, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com
