England is developing a new boat that is "an extremely expensive, state-of-the-art research vessel designed to explore the coldest regions on Earth." And they turned to the public to help name it. Needless to say, the they had a bit of fun with it. The leading name backed by popular opinion at the moment? Yup, "Boaty McBoatface." Classic. The person who volunteered that name has apologized profusely since it has gained popularity. I guess some people don't like the idea of a multi-million dollar vessel having a fun name. But it does get some attention. Here's a much easier way for you to get the attention of your target market: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to getting the kind of attention that results in sales, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

Desperation has finally set in. Inmates have been receiving photos soaked in a certain drug. Officials in a Virginian jail picked up on a new fad where inmates began chewing on photos and quickly discovered what was really going on. This has led to a ban on incoming photos for prisoners. Gotta give them credit for ingenious delivery. They took something common, added a unique twist to it and cashed in. Kinda like in biz - you can use basic ads that get you nowhere. Or you can get a few unique tricks that make all the difference in the world when it comes to cashing in. http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to thinking outside the box, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

I'm sure you've heard the saying: "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight." Well, it's true. Although some people don't always like taking advice from others. Take England for example. A man recently got arrested for running around with a samurai sword, threatening that he was going to kill people. When police arrived with guns, they arrested & subdued the man using a taser. Now, I'm not standing here saying that you should use a gun in a standoff with police.... But I will say that just like in biz, you need to make sure you're properly equipped to come out a winner. Here's how you do that in advertising: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to having the tools you need to be able to win, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

It's just a thought, but maybe you should avoid punching people in the face. I know you probably think they deserve it. And maybe they were trying to hide something from you. But maybe you should ease up a bit. Especially if you're a Denver police officer, as the city's top watchdog has mentioned that: "Police officers should stop punching suspects in the face when they believe the person might have put evidence such as drugs in their mouths." Now they've been warned. At least there's an easier option than using brute force when it comes to advertising your biz online: http://bizdevshots.com/solution/ Here's to getting the results you want without having to resort to physical violence, Matt Hardy BizDevShots Podcast BossInternetMarketing.com

I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time. In Kansas City, a man robbed a bank of about $8,000 cash. And he got away clean. Well, except for the little GPS a bank teller stashed in the money. Worked like a charm - cops were able to follow the suspect directly to his home and recover the cash. It's nice when you've got a nice, easy to follow trail to the results you want. You never know what could happen on any given day. In biz or in the world at large. The other day, the Argentinian coast guard found an illegal Chinese fishing boat off their coast. When the Chinese ship refused radio contact, wouldn't allow the Argentinians to board and tried to repeatedly ram the coast guard, they sunk the ship. Despite the warnings of the coast guard, the Chinese vessel wouldn't comply. And it cost them dearly.
